《万民 – Wan Min》This name is taken from the Old Testament book of Ezekiel –
^“11This is what the Lord God says: Behold, I myself will seek my sheep and I will find them. ¹²Just as a shepherd seeks his sheep in the day when the flock is scattered, so I will seek my sheep. ¹³These sheep are in the thick clouds. I will bring them back from where the days of darkness are scattered. I will bring them out of all peoples, gather them from every nation, and lead them back to their homeland. I will also bring them to the mountains of Israel, by all the streams, and in all the lands of the land. Wherever you live, feed them.”
– Ezekiel 34:11-13
This passage is a promise given by God to the Israelites who were taken captive by the enemy because of their sins. It also clearly reveals the future direction of The Peoples Presbyterian Church (abbr. TPPC – a.k.a. Wan Min), which is to become a missionary church with a universal mind.
